Yet another i-bank offering on tap
We're spoken a lot about initial public offerings of investment bank boutiques. Much of the talk has focused on names such as Lazard and Gleacher, which provided definitive proof of concept. Cowen Group, French bank Societe Generale, has just filed for permission. Already this year, Thomas Weisel Partners Group went public in February. Other IPOs expected this year: Ryan Beck Holdings and Evercore Partners have filed documents with the SEC. Keefe Bruyette & Woods is expected to do so also.
