Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns report tomorrow, and shareholders hope they can at least come close to the performance turned in by Goldman Sachs. A performance that people are still buzzing about. Part of the talk centers on just how rich employees are getting. The firm will payout $16.4 billion in total compensation. That amounts to $621,906 per worker. Last year, the average was about $500,000. Now this doesn't mean that all employees will benefit equally. Obviously, the top dogs are going to make out the best. Most expect they will rake in about $25 million each. I would be interested in knowing how much the secretaries and receptionists there make. More than most of us, I bet.
