SPOTLIGHT: Kirk Wright

Hedge fund fraud has been growing for the last few to several years with little to no success in imposing regulations, transparency, and consumer protections. This type of fraud has been happening and is still happening and without tighter regulation, will continue to happen.

Mr.Wright was not a fund manager for the stars. He and his partners solicited retirement funds and the life savings of ordinary people who typically would not be candidates for this type of investment. Only the NFL players and a few high income clients have been the focus of the press. Most of the clients did not qualify for investing in hedge funds but apparently that didn't matter.
