Sign of times: New CFO at Lehman Brothers
Lehman Brothers has shuffled its top financial officers, apparently a move to better grapple with the ongoing credit crunch. Erin Callan, who currently is in charge of hedge fund coverage, will become chief financial officer, replacing Chris O'Meara, who will become head of risk management. Callan has built her career at Lehman as an expert on structured products. She pioneered a new hybrid product at Lehman that apparently did well, according to Financial News Online. She then became a banker and led the Fortress offering team. She seems well poised to lead the firm through these troubled times.
