Scandal: Property manager sues hedge fund honcho
Ready for another Wall Street scandal? This one is ready-made for the tabloids. William Gamble, former home property manager for hedge fund (hedge fund news) billionaire Philip Falcone and his wife, has sued (lawsuit news) his ex-employers after working for them for just two months. He said he was subject to all kinds of harassment and advances from Maria Falcone.
The suit alleges that the boorishness came to a head on a vacation to St. Barts, where Maria was said to use a lot of anti-gay slurs and make unwelcome advances that got physical. After he rebuffed one advance, he says he was actually punched three times in the gut by her husband.
The suit also alleges other examples of mistreatment, including being given a work space that was once the living area of the family's pet pig. The Falcones have denied the charges, saying the alleger is trying to extort money.
