Richest woman on Wall Street
And the winner is ... Zoe Cruz. The Morgan Stanley executive graces the Forbes richest list at No. 34. Making her the highest ranked female. The conventional thinking is that she has really thrived in the John Mack era. This after some thought Mack would knife her. She is credited with managing the really strong performance of the fixed-income, currencies and commodities divisions according to Financial News Online. She seems to have the managerial chops to run the show someday--at Morgan Stanley or perhaps somewhere else. It does not appear that she is interested in making herself famous or a celebrity along the lines of Mary Meeker. You get the feeling that will serve her well. She'll likely be around for a long time to come.

It's interesting that barely two months have past since this article was published and Ms. Cruz was fired and saddled with the blame for a $5.5 billion write-off. She's out. Mack is still in and if he makes it to the Secretary of the Treasury post, he'll give Zoe a call.
I'm just not sure why the "most powerful woman on Wall Street" had to take the fall for this. Oh, yes, of course, it's Morgan Stanley.
Ms. Cruz is a powerful and brilliant woman. How can I get my resume to her?
