RBS says suing Goldman Sachs would be premature
Royal Bank of Scotland has heard calls for it to sue Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) over $841 million in losses on CDOs (CDO news). RBS paid Goldman $841 million in August 2008 to settle a claim on CDSs for which ABN AMRO, which RBS had purchased, was liable. RBS says its U.S. lawyers have advised it that a suit now would be premature. Article
