Quattrone wins! No third trial
The comeback kid? Frank Quattrone will reportedly enter a deferred-prosecution agreement that will impose no penalties and will not require any admission of guilt if he does not run afoul of any laws for several years. The deal will avoid a third trial and pave the way for Quattrone to reestablish himself as a deal maker. Rumors are rife that he will start a boutique advisory firm and may even try to re-hire some of the many bankers that once worked for him. You really have no choice but to pronounce him the winner in this long-running battle.
