Quattrone ready to take Wall Street by storm
It took awhile, but Frank Quattrone, the poster boy of the go-go, tech-bubble years, can rightfully claim he was vindicated. After the government dropped all charges against him last year (after two trials), the path was cleared for him to return to Wall Street. The new Quattrone will be on display at the Western Association of Venture Capitalists' 2007 "distinguished speaker" series. No less than Eliot Spitzer was a featured speaker a few years ago. The larger issue is what Quattrone will do next. He may address the issue at the event. Many assume he's at work putting together either a hedge fund or a private equity fund. He was said recently to be recruiting some former colleagues to join him.
