Quant funds making gains
Charles Schwab offers nine quantitative funds. Janus Capital offers six such funds. Vanguard launched a small-cap quant fund in April, emboldened by a strong showing by its Strategic Equity midcap quant fund. More companies are jumping on board. The fact is that computers probably have the same odds of beating the market as do most humans, and the costs are a bit less.
