Morgan Stanley names alternative investments head
Bucking the trend to a degree, Morgan Stanley still seems bent on creating a top-notch asset management operation, especially in alternative investments. The news that Stu Bohart, the former head of prime brokerage, will lead the alternative investments group (part of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management) is a step toward that goal. Bohart's "dense Rolodex within the hedge fund community will help Morgan Stanley as it seeks to hire and acquire its way into the upper echelon of the alternative universe," notes TheStreet.com.
