Poker is obviously a favorite pastime on Wall Street. We noted recently the Wall Street execs who have fared well as professional poker players, including Steven Begleiter. The former investment banker at Bear Stearns made it to the finals of the World Series of Poker's Main Event. David Einhorn has also tried his hand. N

ow comes word of a tournament for MBAs. The gaming industry sees the new tourney as a recruiting opportunity. But most of the contestants most likely are bent on a career on Wall Street. At the first MBA Poker Championship, nearly 500 students from top business schools convened in Vegas for a three-day shoot out. They may run into each other again on a trading desk somewhere.
