There's been some disappointment that so few people have been charged as accomplices in the Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme. That so much could have been stolen for so many years seems next to impossible without the aid of others. Reuters reports that 10 or even more people could face criminal charges in connection with the scheme.
Reuters' source says the FBI investigation into the fraud was "closer to the beginning than the end." It's unclear what that means, other than we are not even close to getting a detailed picture of how it all worked. You would have to think that the many feeder funds who existed to place money with Madoff may be in the line of fire. They certainly have some explaining to do.
