Michael Moore seeking out Madoff

Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story is out, and seems to be getting decent reviews. One person who hasn't seen it yet is Bernard Madoff, who of course is serving a 150 year prison term in North Carolina. However, Michael Moore would very much like for the Ponzi scheme master to see it. In fact, he says he's trying to set up a screening.

"If we can't, we've discussed doing an outdoor screening in the field, so at least he can watch through the bars of the window," he told the Daily News. The reasoning is a bit odd. "Bernie is representative of the scheme of capitalism itself. [Capitalism] is a pyramid where the richest 1 percent have as much financial wealth as the combined 95 percent. It's a pyramid only a few people can be at the top of, and everyone else is made to believe that they can get to the top."

I believe that Michael Moore himself is within that top 1%

mr kim: the reviews for moore's new movie are indicative of most reviewers total ignorance of economic systems, capitalism in particular. that the left rails against the system that has brought world prosperity is consistent with a misbegotten world view that much of the population are victims of the machinations of rape and pillage madoffs. madoff was a crook, no more no less and is in no way representative of the capitalist system.
