Madoff taste in wine questioned
The auctions of Bernard Madoff's personal items continue. Just sold: Madoff's collection of wine and alcohol. Nearly 60 lots of items from Madoff's personal collection were sold by Morrell & Company Fine Wine Auctions. "Madoff's selection was hardly the nicest of the spirits and wine being sold, although a handful of his bottles were exceptional," the New York Times opined."Most were simply listed by year and make, but a few merited description laced with the typical wine-lover's flair for adjectives, adverbs, obscure fruit and seemingly not-so-tasty descriptions like 'new saddle leather.'
