How tough it is at the Butner federal correctional institute? After a heated argument over the "state of the markets" with a fellow inmate, tempers flared. The guy shoved the Ponzi scheme genius, who shoved back harder. As his attacker tried to stand up, Madoff hovered over him red-faced and glaring, the New York Post reports.

"The stunned attacker went chicken and took off--allowing Madoff to collect some 'cred' among his fellow prisoners." So is Madoff emerging as a force? Lucky for him, no guards witnessed the fight; the "bruiser" might have been sent to the hole. Is Bernard Madoff, 71 years old, really emerging as a prison yard tough guy? 

Seems like he's still got the moxie. Although, he wouldn't be the guy to entrust your cigarettes to. You might not see them again, but you would get a detailed statement.
