Madoff accountant to plead guilty
David Friehling, 49, was Bernard Madoff's auditor from 1991 to 2008. He has never come across as a cooperating witness. But he's about to plead guilty next week in what the AP calls a "cooperation deal." The conventional wisdom is that he was a rubber stamper. Whether he has any real insight is an open question.
