So what's it like working for the premiere investment bank on Wall Street. Business Week has published an article by a recent Indiana University grad who purports to offer a day-in-the-life kind of journal. Works from 9:30 to 2:00 AM apparently. Of course, he can't really say anything that the bank wouldn't approve of. So you get stuff like: "Goldman is a great place to learn a lot in a very short period of time. I enjoy the team-oriented culture and appreciate the strong focus on mentorship." Which may be all true, but what else is he going to say? Still, it amounts to good PR by Goldman. One blogger has seen fit to mock it just a bit. He even offers what he considers a more realistic journal--if fictional. Definitely, not an authorized communication.
