Business Week Online notes that since billionaire investor Joe Lewis rode to Bear Stearns' rescue, the stock "has been in a death spiral." The nasty plunge on the news that Jimmy Cayne would step down was yet another slap. Lewis' 10 percent stake in the firm has plummeted from $1.2 billion to $840 million. Ouch.
