He's on top of the industry. Here's a telling quote from a money manager in a lengthy paean from TheStreet.com: "Dimon is just a superior manager. Jamie Dimon has, to a large degree, been able to hold onto his reputation," while the reputations of contemporaries like Vikram Pandit and Ken Lewis, "have been scarred or diminished." No doubt, given the press in general, the PR team at JPMorgan can pat themselves on the back. They've done well.

But there are risks out there. People are closely watching credit card write-offs at the banks, as one example. The one thing you can count on when it comes to media coverage is that the more the press genuflects, the more it will curse later on. There are some in the PR world who will tell you that what goes up must come down eventually. Look at Sandy Weill, Stanley O'Neill, Phil Purcell, Jimmy Cayne and a long line of the bank executives. Good press ought to make you nervous.

Dimon is already getting flack as he has been outspoken against TARP because he can't hire foreign workers at cheaper prices than American workers.

This is warning to American MBA students. Don't waste your time with four years of school and graduate with huge student loans because there won't be a job waiting for you and if there is one it will be a lower salaries. At least JPM.

Exactly what practices that led to the mortgage crisis did Dimon fully exclude his bank from?

He's just as bad as the other clowns.
