How much did the Dow fall in the flash crash?
We've heard that the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost as much as 998.50 points in a matter of minutes, but could have been much worse. Streetinsider.com calculates that the average actually fell fell 1,250 points if you use the low prices for trades that traded away from the NYSE on other exchanges. That was also calculated excluding trades that ended up being canceled. Article
