Hedge fund compensation falls
So how bleak is the hedge fund industry right now? Glocap says that compensation for 2011 is running 10 percent lower, mostly reflecting tough markets in the third quarter. Of course, average figures mean little. What really matters is how specific funds are faring. There are plenty of winners this year, as there are every year, even when the averages are lower. On the upside, management fees rose, reflecting the healthy inflows earlier in the year. Article
