Dick Grasso has opened up the possibility that the much-awaited courtroom showdown with Eliot Spitzer may be avoided. He said on CNBC that he thinks it would be in the best interests of all parties to settle the suit. I have to agree. There's a huge amount of potential that some big names could end up with egg on their faces. My bet is that Spitzer is picking up on the clue. Then again, a trial would be very, very interesting. The press would no doubt have a field day.
