Just a note: James Gorman and Brian Moynihan, the newest members of the Wall Street CEO club, made their official debuts this week. Gorman, CEO of Morgan Stanley (MS), addressed the company's 45,000 employees via video at the firm's weekly strategy forum. According to Dow Jones, he held a pair of analyst's reports, both bullish. The stock ended up rallying.

Meanwhile, at Bank of America (BAC), CEO Brian Moynihan sent out an email to the bank's 300,000 workers. After a speech in Raleigh at an event sponsored by the North Carolina Bankers Association and the state's Chamber of Commerce--in which he decried calls to break up big banks--he flew back to Charlotte, where he met top managers, some for the first time. Of the two, Moynihan may end up having the trickiest start. His ascension was eventful for all the wrong reasons.
