Goldman Sachs to pay up to $5 billion to settle?
The Fox Business Network suggests that a settlement between Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) and the SEC could cost the firm between $1 billion to $5 billion. That would appear to be comfortably affordable by the firm, but it would represent only a partial bill, as private litigation could easily add to the bill. We will not likely hear executives speak about settlement costs at the annual meeting, but a settlement still seems likely. Article
