The global exchange game
The NASDAQ has a lot riding on its bid with Borse Dubai for OMX. After the London Stock Exchange blow up, it needs a deal to work out. It just raised its offer for OMX, and it looks like a decent deal for shareholders. So this really ups the stakes in the global exchange game. This is a pretty definitive response to the New York Stock Exchange's deal with Euronext. I have to think another big deal is out there lurking. Asia perhaps? - Jim
