Funds offer bear signal?
Should we be worried? Bloomberg notes that cash at mutual funds (mutual fund news) has fallen to 3.6 percent of assets from 5.7 percent in January 2009--the fastest decrease in the ratio since 1991. The last time funds held such little cash was September 2007, right before the S&P 500 began a 57 percent drop. Article
