It's that time of the year. Wall Street managers are informing their employees what their 2007 bonus will be, and at many firms it's likely to be good-not-great news. At Lehman Brothers and especially Goldman Sachs, however, there will be much more good cheer. According to the Financial Times, the pot for Goldman is likely in the $20 billion range, or about $360,000 per employee. The biggest winner will be Lloyd Blankfein himself. He is expected to get a 30 percent raise in total compensation to $70 million in cash, stock and options. That's got to be some sort of record. Dick Fuld of Lehman will likely get in the $50 million range. Not a bad year.
