The downside of bigger salaries
The nation's largest public employees union has issues with Citi's plans to raise salaries to stay competitive on the hiring front. The main charge is that salaries are in no way tied to performance. At least bonuses had that virtue. So would this encourage the same sort of risk-taking reformers were hoping to discourage? Article
