In the on-going saga of the Raj Rajaratnam and Danielle Chiesi, we are being treated to two enigmatic characters who will add lots of color to a trial, assuming we'll get one. Rajaratnam has been portrayed as the mastermind, while Chiesi has been portrayed as something of an acolyte and would-be competitor. She has drawn lots of attention for her use of the F-word, her looks and what some have interpreted as a willingness to trade on her looks and charm.

The New York Post reports she's undergone something of a makeover for the media. "At her first public appearance since being arrested two months ago, Chiesi smiled at a horde of photographers and TV cameras as she strode across an icy sidewalk into Manhattan federal court. Her coifed appearance, complete with designer garb and a classic string of pearls, cleared Chiesi of any past fashion crimes."

She and Rajaratnam have pleaded guilty and we have every reason to think they'll go to trial. Which could be entertaining.
