Customer data breach at JP Morgan private bank

Just what the industry doesn't need -- another high profile security breach. In a letter from JP Morgan Private Bank Managing Director Elaine Agather last week, clients were told that a computer containing personal and financial information about them was stolen from a Dallas office site, according to MarketWatch. The computer was stolen August 8, the bank said. While sensitive information is password-protected, personal information may still be accessed. So far, there have been no signs of untoward behavior with the data. The bank is working with law enforcement authorities.
