Citi opens retail operation in Vietnam
Even though its domestic operations are in disarray, Citi (C) has found ways to keep CEO Vikram Pandit's global aspirations alive. It will open a branch in Ho Chi Minh City to provide deposit and remittance services. In so doing, Citi becomes the first American bank to start up a retail operation in the country.
