Career advice from Goldman Sachs power women

Goldman Sachs executives hosted a breakfast this week for the 32 mentees as part of the Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women Leaders Mentoring Partnership. Dina Powell, Goldman's head of corporate outreach and former assistant Secretary of State for Condoleezza Rice, held court.

Here's some choice advice, as reported by Fortune. Stacey Bash-Polley, co-head of fixed-income sales: "Follow the 24-hour rule" when responding to emails when angry. And then there's this from Kathy Elsesser, head of the consumer retail group in investment banking: "Form a personal board of directors." Well, it worked for them.
