Can Thain lead CIT?
You might have thought John Thain was tainted after his end-of-term fiasco at Merrill Lynch. He was fired by Ken Lewis after all. But given what's happened to Lewis since then, it may be a bragging point. In any case, there's a lot of clean-up work to be done at CIT. He may be joining at an opportune moment. Article
