Bill Gross sounds off
Bill Gross is a close as you can get to a rock star in the mutual fund world. He has approached the rare air of Peter Lynch, a generation before him. So what does the guru have to say? That our financial system needs fixing. He notes that the alchemy of securitization has put risky assets in the accounts of many average, hardly high-flying Americans. Who knows, my money market funds may be exposed to asset-backed commercial paper. Rightly or not, his outrage has yet to spread deeply into the American consciousness. It certainly has not become anything close to a political hot-button issue in this election season. He has a prescription: more international investments and non-dollar assets.
