Was she involved? How could Ruth Madoff, the wife of Bernie Madoff (Bernard Madoff news), not know about the massive career-long Ponzi scheme he ran? She and her sons have so far escaped conviction, to the frustration of victims. But is she feeling a twinge of guilt for what has happened?

The New York Post reports she has moved to Florida, "where she bunks with relatives and apparently does God's work, delivering meals to the homebound. The former billionaire's wife has been reduced to driving around in a 14-year-old clunker, with a parking placard in the back seat that reads, 'homebound delivery volunteer driver.' "

She's been spotted strolling the beaches near brother-in-law Peter Madoff's $4.5 million Palm Beach mansion. The local postman says he delivers her mail there. But it's unclear where she lives. Ruth was allowed to keep $2.5 million, but she "now lives without frills, says an acquaintance, but she's still got enough cash to finance a work-free snowbird lifestyle--she travels between Manhattan and Florida regularly, with frequent pit stops in North Carolina to visit her jailbird hubby."
