Bank of America board re-make continues
Bank of America continues to re-make its board of directors. The latest: Former Morgan Stanley co-president Robert Scully, 59, has been added the board. He becomes the 14th member of a board that has been whittled down from 18.
Scully is a wizened veteran of the industry. At Morgan Stanley, he oversaw the firm's asset management, Discover credit card and merchant banking businesses, notes Reuters. Before stepping down from Morgan Stanley in January, Scully served as an adviser to the government as it formulated rescue plans for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and American International Group.
We may be nearing the end of the board makeover. There's a whole new cast of characters and Ken Lewis is no longer chairman. It may be time to get down to some serious business. There are lots of issues on the table, including succession.
