Another hedge fund in battle for company
Carl Icahn vs. Time Warner got all the headlines, but it seems clear that more hedge funds versus management battles are being waged. In many ways, this all seems like a throwback to the 1980s. Of course, the term raider is out of vogue, but the era of this kind of activism seems to be back. One example is Costa Brava Partnership, the second-largest shareholder of TechTeam. It wants to nominate seven directors to replace the current board board.
