And the winner is... Forbes ranks analysts
Forbes annual list of top brokerage equity analysts typically gains a lot of attention. Using data from Stamine, their rankings sought analysts who demonstrated above average skills in two areas: forecasting earnings or recommending buys, holds and sells. The winners: Morgan Keegan's Holly Guthrie, a specialty retail, personal products analyst for stock picking, and Credit Suisse First Boston's Ivy Zelman, a household durables analyst, for earnings forecasting.
