Steele Alphin - Top Executive Resignation

The End: The HR exec retired from the nation's largest bank Feb. 11, following a transition period. Alphin was one of ex-CEO Ken Lewis' "most trusted lieutenants," reports the San Francisco Business Times. Many assumed he would step down once Moynihan was appointed CEO. Alphin begin his career at Bank of America in 1977.
Update: Andrea Smith succeeded Alphin and was named Global Human Resources executive of the bank. She now reports directly to Moynihan.
