LONDON & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jefferies today announced the appointment of Julian Smith as a Managing Director and Head of U.K. Corporate Broking. Mr. Smith will be based in London.

Mr. Smith brings to Jefferies more than 16 years of corporate broking and equity experience. He joins the firm from Collins Stewart, where he was a Managing Director for Corporate Broking. Previously, Mr. Smith spent 15 years at Dresdner Kleinwort in corporate broking and equity capital markets roles, most recently as Managing Director in the Corporate Broking Group. He received an undergraduate diploma from the University of Kent and his postgraduate diploma from the Dorset Business School, both in the U.K.
