The IFX Forum is an international not-for-profit industry association whose mission is to develop IFX and promote its adoption as an open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange. The group's 2011 Annual Meeting took place in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, hosted by ACI Worldwide at their facility.

The IFX Forum gathering began with an "Introduction to IFX" tutorial session presented by Mr. Urban, which focused on IFX Version 2. A version of the presentation may be downloaded from a link on the home page, www.ifxforum.org.

As is customary at an IFX Forum face-to-face meeting, the Omaha event featured intense hands-on collaborative sessions for the Forum's active Working Groups. It was the first in-person meeting for the recently launched Liaison & Interoperability Working Group, which is chartered to be a center of expertise within the Forum for interoperability with external standards and communications with organizations that develop them; Forum leaders are gratified by the high levels of interest and participation in the new Working Group. An additional day was devoted to IFX architectural considerations. The Forum's Steering Committee also met to discuss and advance the group's business plans.
