George Pavey Joins Credit Suisse as Head of European Real Estate ECM and Co-Head of EMEA Emerging Market ECM

Credit Suisse is pleased to announce that George Pavey will join the Investment Banking Department as a Managing Director and Head of European Real Estate ECM and Co-Head of EMEA Emerging Markets ECM. Mr Pavey will be based in London and will join on October 1. He will report to Thomas Gottstein and Nick Williams, Co-Heads of European Equity Capital Markets.
Mr. Pavey will be responsible for originating and executing transactions for the Bank's clients in the real estate sector across the EMEA region. Mr. Pavey will also be jointly responsible for ECM coverage in the EMEA Emerging Markets region, focusing on Africa and the Middle East.
Thomas Gottstein, Co-Head of European Equity Capital Markets, said, "George is a highly experienced banker with extensive knowledge of the ECM product. We look forward to welcoming him back to Credit Suisse."
Nick Williams, Co-Head of European Equity Capital Markets, added: "George brings to the Bank strong relationships and product expertise and will be an excellent addition to the team as we look to further strengthen our market-leading ECM franchise in Europe."
Mr. Pavey joins Credit Suisse from HSBC, where he spent two and half years as a Managing Director and Head of their Global Capital Markets business in the Asia-Pacific region. During this time, he played an instrumental role in significantly expanding their ECM business and further developed his considerable expertise in the real estate sector. Prior to this, Mr. Pavey spent seven years with Credit Suisse in the Equity Capital Markets team in London, New York and Hong Kong.
