Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank Expands Credit and Debt Markets Team with Five Seasoned Professionals

Additions Represent Firm’s Continuing Commitment to Growth

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank today announced the addition of five new highly experienced sales, trading, research, and DCM origination professionals to its expanding debt and credit markets platform.

“The addition of these resources to our team underscores our continued commitment at Crédit Agricole CIB to provide exceptional, fully integrated global service for our client base throughout the debt and credit markets,” said Andy Schaeffer, Head of Credit Markets and Origination for the Americas. “We will continue to respond to our clients’ evolving needs by further expanding our already sizable platform in the U.S. as needed. The key to our eventual success is staffing with established, seasoned and talented individuals such as those currently joining us.”

The new additions include:

U.S. High Yield SalesBrad Gano, with 30 years experience in major U.S. investment banks and financial institutions on both the high yield sales and buy sides, and Marcin Varanka, who most recently was at BB&T Bank. Mr. Varanka had previously been in a senior high yield sales position at Miller Tabak and Barclays Capital. Both will report to Bertrand Delaunay, Head of Credit Sales for the Americas.

U.S. Investment GradeFrank Novellino, who joins as an Investment Grade Credit Trader, and Tim Doherty, appointed a Desk Analyst with a focus on Investment Grade and High Yield Energy companies. Mr. Novellino, a 10-year trading veteran, most recently was at Piper Jaffrey, having previously held positions at Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Doherty’s prior association was with KDP Investment Advisors, and prior to that with Scotia Capital and Banc of America. The two will report locally to Dan Mena, Head of Global High Yield Trading, and globally to Mariano Goldfischer, Global Head of Credit Trading.

U.S. DCM OriginationAndrew Kirby joins the Debt Capital Markets origination teams, where he will be responsible for marketing the high yield DCM platform to potential primary market clients. He has been involved in the leverage finance field for the last 12 years, most recently at BNP Paribas, having previously been with TD Securities and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Kirby reports to Andy Schaeffer.
