Chase Military Credit Cards Unveil Enhanced Cash Back Rewards, No Foreign Transaction Fees
Servicemembers, veterans and their families – here and abroad – earn more cash back for purchases
WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Chase Card Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM), unveiled today new enhancements to its portfolio of credit cards exclusively available to the distinguished men and women who serve our country. Cardmembers will now receive unlimited cash back for all purchases and will not be charged foreign transaction fees. The new enhancements, designed to benefit service members and their families at home and abroad, are available on Chase’s Military Star Rewards MasterCard; Air Force Club MasterCard; Army Morale, Welfare, Recreation (MWR) MasterCard; Navy MWR MasterCard; and Marine Corps Community Service MasterCard.
“Chase is proud to support our men and women in uniform around the globe,” said Emelie Smith Calbick, general manager, Chase Card Services. “Service members and their families deserve financial resources that fit their unique needs – whether they are on-base, have been deployed or are anywhere in between.”
Cardmembers will continue to receive the benefits of the Blue Star Deployment Program, which provides a full refund on any interest and fees incurred during deployment. Loved ones are still able to use their cards while a cardmember is deployed – a benefit that only Chase provides.
Cardmembers, who have access to 32 million merchants in more than 170 countries, earn 2 percent cash back rewards at Army MWR, Air Force Services and MCCS Merchant locations, including Exchanges and Commissaries and 1 percent everywhere else. There is no cap on the amount of cash back rewards cardmembers can earn. In addition, with no foreign transaction fees, cardmembers can save as much as 3 percent with every international purchase.
All military cards have no annual fee and provide cardmembers access to a dedicated, expert Military Customer Service team, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Cardmembers have multiple options for redeeming rewards, including a check, statement credit, or gift cards for major retailers, restaurants or travel, including airline, hotel and car rentals.
Chase’s Commitment to the Military
Chase has been offering service members convenience, savings, service and security since 1989. Chase also offers credit education programs, online financial management tools and college scholarships for families of servicemembers. Earlier this year, JPMorgan Chase established its Office of Military and Veterans Affairs charged with developing and executing a firm-wide, comprehensive strategy focused on supporting America’s military and veteran community. The office focuses on jobs, military and veteran homeownership and education.
JPMorgan Chase launched the 100,000 Jobs Mission in close coordination with other major employers with the goal of collectively hiring 100,000 transitioning servicemembers and military veterans by 2020. Since the mission’s launch in March through September 2011, the coalition has hired nearly 2,700 veterans. JPMorgan Chase has promised to award 1,000 Mortgage-Free Homes over the next five years to deserving veterans and their families through nonprofit organizations. With support from JPMorgan Chase, Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies offers a tuition-free Veterans Technology Program, a non-credit certificate program for post 9/11 veterans aspiring to careers in information technology.
