Boston Private Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPFH) today announced that it plans to raise approximately $25 million through the sale of shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. All of the shares will be offered by BPFH and will be issued under BPFH's currently effective registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15 percent of the offered amount of common stock from the Company.

BPFH intends to utilize the net proceeds from the offering to strengthen the quality of its capital base and to support the redemption of its remaining TARP securities. Goldman, Sachs & Co. will act as sole bookrunner and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods will be the co-manager for the proposed securities offering.
