Alan Bear Joins Alvarez & Marsal Capital Real Estate as a Managing Director

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Alvarez & Marsal Capital Real Estate (A&M CapRE), LLC, a real estate private equity firm affiliated with global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announced that Alan Bear has joined as a managing director. Mr. Bear is based in Los Angeles.

Mr. Bear brings more than 20 years of experience as an investment banking and real estate services executive, having served as a fundraiser and adviser in real estate asset and operating company transactions totaling more than $4 billion over his career. In addition to representing national and regional based real estate companies, pension funds, financial institutions, and large real estate portfolio owners, he has experience in the areas of international fund raising, entity level financings and recapitalization as well as high-level transactional and strategic investment advisory services.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bear was a principal at Probitas Partners where he was a senior member of the investment bank’s team, which raised over $2 billion for real estate funds, club deals and separate accounts. Previously, Mr. Bear founded and served as a principal at AGB Consulting, a real estate transaction and strategic investment advisory services business. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bear served as a managing director at The Roulac Group and as the director of institutional real estate services at Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Bear holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of California. He also has his NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California.
