And the winner is ... Zoe Cruz. The Morgan Stanley executive graces the Forbes richest list at No. 34. Making her the highest ranked female. The conventional thinking is that she has really thrived in the John Mack era. This after some thought Mack would knife her. She is credited with managing the really strong performance of the fixed-income, currencies and commodities divisions according to Financial News Online. She seems to have the managerial chops to run the show someday--at Morgan Stanley or perhaps somewhere else. It does not appear that she is interested in making herself famous or a celebrity along the lines of Mary Meeker. You get the feeling that will serve her well. She'll likely be around for a long time to come.
