Top investment banks commit to green initiatives

The likes of Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and others are following Goldman Sachs' lead by embracing environmentally sound projects. And we're not just talking about investment opportunities, we're talking about their own operations and facilities. Goldman Sachs has set the tone. Its 1.5-million square foot facility in New Jersey was certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, one of the largest buildings to win the designation. That raised brows. Others, notably Morgan Stanley, are rolling out green HVAC systems. Credit Suisse has installed a "thermal ice storage-based" unit. All in all, there is tremendous PR value to doing these sorts of things.
