Top execs head to Washington on commercial flights

Top banking executives are heading to Washington, D.C. for a hearing--one that will not likely be pleasant--and they're smart enough to leave the private jets in the hangar. Seeking to avoid yet another PR snafu, they are taking commercial flights, reports the Financial Times.

This isn't a big deal for the New York-based execs. John Stumpf, who runs San Francisco-based Wells Fargo, faces the longest commercial flight. Bank of America Ken Lewis says he will take the train up from Charlotte . The only mystery is JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, who did not disclose his specific means of travel; he did say it would be of the public variety.
